“Santa and the lost Princess of Santopia ” totally re-imagines the legend of Santa Claus and Christmas itself. Santa lives in his kingdom in the sky, Santopia, which is surrounded on all sides by the Forest of Gloom.

When Santa’s son, Prince Nicky, was born 18 years before our story begins, the Wizard of Santopia prophesied that he would marry the first girl born after him. The pregnant Duchess of Gloom had her doctors induce labor so that her daughter would be the first born.

But there was another girl, born to a poor family, who was born first. When the Duchess discovered this, she set out to kill the new-born infant, named Noelle. Her parents turned to Santa Pops (the current Santa’s father) for help. He in turn gave the infant child to his old friend Henry, who was in Santopia repairing a broken toy machine.
